Mainly it's because that my table has only 4 person sitting, which consist of my 2IC a warrant, Master Lim, Chong Wei & myself!. Imagine 3 bowls of shark fin soup each... LoL.Everything was indeed interesting and a new experience for myself. Especially when it comes to the ARMY.

The night was well planned with minor hiccups with only the magic show. The magician was demostrating the "Fire Eating" stance when he accidently pushed the bottle of keronsene (or some flamable liquid) on the table and it caught fire. He accidently burnt his right hand. I was laughing my heart off...guess I was pretty bad, but after that my PC and some assitants ran up stage and tried to put out the fire which was brought under control.

After that I went to smoke with Ah Yuan which leads me to see the emcee which was Eileen Wee, applying some application on the magician's hand. Talking about Eileen Wee, she looks so much older when I see her in real life. I rememeber seeing her once at Zouk last time, but sadly people do grew older each day and she looks really more to the auntie side. She looks like the photo below last time. Sighz.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_wjEqxhhnFH0/Rs_fd8TEleI/AAAAAAAAAAM/VGTFKP3Ch5Y/s200/eileen.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5102542608329381346" />

Anyways, I have enjoyed myself quite well, even though I din't get to drink the beer much, because I had a HEADACHE. But still I had my free-flow of Orange coloured-Orange flavoured drinks last night! I can still recall about their very first song. And till now, after so many years, today I manage to catch one of their songs on MTV top 20 countdown, and featuring Number 1 was S.H.E: 听袁惟仁弹吉他 (Ting Yuan Wei Ren Tan Ji Tar).

I was totally amazed on how Ella manage to rap throughout the song! I am extremely in-love with Hebe's new hair style! Omg, I really love Ella and Hebe! Anyway, the meaning of this song is writen to about how appreciate the importance of song writers. They are overworked and underpaid. But the way S.H.E sang the song with rap style and Hebe singing with such good voice I really must say it's the best chinese song I heard this year.

Check out Hebe's New Hair Style! Anyways...for some of you guys don't really know where I had been posted to for training attachment. It's Sungei Gedong Camp. (Lim Chu Kang)

Too many things had happened over the weeks, just last thursday, my mom was admitted into hospital at night, she was peeing heavy flow of blood. And I was so fucking worried that we rush her to SGH (A&E) immediately. We waited from 8pm till 10++, till then we wasn't attended to at all. There was only one doctor available. To make
matter worst, my mom was peeing even more blood and she was feeling faint. Worried I went to 'F' the nurse because their service was too slow, there was no judging the of the condition of the patients at all. There are no special attention to more serious cases. I guess that's what you get when you enter into a Government Hospital. Cause at Mount Alvenia or Mount Elizibeth they tend to you immediately. After consulting the doctor and some X-rays till 4am, my mom was diagnois with Womb infection. She stayed under observation ward.

Thank God, My mom was discharged on saturday, till now she is feel very weak. Hope she can get well soon.

Many people who I had known trembled at the mention of my camp, not because it's tough...but it's like another side of the island. It's located somewhere near choa chu kang and kranji.

So far, life over at Gedong (12FMD) was indeed a new experience for me. There are over 300 tanks and only 30+ turret technician. We had to work our asses off everyday. But I kinda like the system over there, because I can now officially book-in and out in Civilian Clothes, and can report sick outside without worries. No more marching around within camp. Finally a full treatment of a technician.

The cons of being posted to Gedong, was that I have to wake up at 5am EVERYDAY. And take the first bus to Yishun. Luckly, I had a friend who can fetch me to camp every morning, or else I confirm late. Cause if I take public transport, I had to take a train from Serangoon, and ends up in choa chu kang @ 7.15am for shuttle bus down to GEDONG. That would probally kills me.

THANK GOD!

Lousy Sunday...

Oh crap. I can't believe this is a lousy sunday. Was out the whole morning and afternoon. Morning I went to mass, then go to AMK for lunch with Vanessa. This few days, there's a problem with blogspot. Can't post anything at all.

Well, I had catch Spiderman 3 on last Friday (11th). Had to watch it that late because of the crazy sold-out tickets since the release, especially weekends.

Overall, I was very disappointed with the movie, after watching the show, I came out of the cinema feeling really upset about how could they change the movie by not following the comic storyline. After all, I am a Marvel Comic Fan.

After sharing with some of my friends called me Mr. Movie Critics, but it's true, here's a few reasons why the movie was that bad:

1.) Venom character size in the film shouldn't be that small size. He should be bigger and muscular. He is like the size of Sandman

2.) Venom's animator was lazy to animate the proper way of how venom should speaks like in the comics. Instead of showing him opening his mouth and had drool over his mouth, and a lizard like tongue sticking out, the film animator did was just showing his the actor real face whenever he talks.

3.) Sandman wasn't really that powerful, he is very vunlerable to water and wind.

4.) Harry Osborn, following his father's footsteps, took the place of Green Goblin as HomGoblin in the comic. He worn something similar to Green Goblin, but never-ever had something like in the film that was so cyber-like.

Overall, I must say the film has more talking scenes and scenes of Mary Jane Watson than more action scene. Even the action scene was too short and fast. I guess that Spiderman 2 was still the best of all 3 movies. I really hope that Spiderman 4 would be better and will be following the comic in detail. =)

Fergalicious!

OMG...it's been sooooo long since I did my posting on my happenings. Its been like a month or so. Was so caught up with ARMY, it's like a daily routine. Here's how I spend a day in OETI...

0500 Wake up -_-
0545 Leave my place
0645 Reach Queenstown near Blessed Sacrament Church, walk to Ayer Rajar Camp
0705 Reach Camp, have a smoking break alone in the smoking point, then talk cock with friends at the locker area
0740 Fall in for roll-call, including spot-checks on hairstyle, uniform attiture etc.
0800 Change to Coverall Attire, Class start -Theory or Practical on Turret Weapon System
0930 Morning Tea Break
1000 Back to Class
1130 Lunch
1300 Back to Class
1500 Noon Tea Break
1530 Back to Class
1630 Class stop, Area Cleaning & Changing back To Number 4 attire to get ready to book out
1730 BOOK OUT
1830 Reach HOME

Basically everyday is almost the same thing...Wake up very early in the morning and normally when I reach home, I hardly got the time to enjoy "home comfort". Normally I would knock-out on my bed at 9pm. Sometimes I would stay up abit more later playing my PSP till 12am. Speaking of PSP, I just got mine a month ago, maybe that's why I seldom blog nowadays. Cause maybe due to time constraint to blog that often.

OMG, I really love my PSP! It's really a cool gadget to play with, but sad to say the memory wasn't that good. Cause currently the most storage space I could store is only 4Gb. It can play mp3s, watch videos, view photos, surf the internet and play games! Haha, at any hotspots including Macs, I could browse the internet with no sweat at all. Speaking of games, its totally free! Cause some people manage to find a way to hack into the PSP system, and created hacking programs for users to use. And all I need is to use hacking program and download the game ISOs to play!

Games that I am playing/had played:

1.)The Sims2
2.)Sims Pets
3.)Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
4.)Virtua Tennis 3
5.)Samurai Warriors: State of War
6.)Dynasty Warriors: Vol 2
7.)DragonBallz: Shin Budokai Another Road
8.)DJ MAX Portable 1
9.)DJ MAX Portable 2
10.)Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
11.)Street Fighter Alpha 3
12.)Naruto: Narutemate Portable
13.)300: March to Glory
14.)Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
15.)Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

Till then, I shall blog again real soon. Been so tired everyday after coming back from army. Incase any of you been wondering, where have I been posted to, it's very complicated due the long term which I myself ain't quite sure of.

OETI (Ordnance Engineering Training Institute) as ARMT (Armour Technician) as Turret Technician.

Confused right? Haha, basically, I am a Technician for Tanks, fixing and maintaining the guns part only. Anyhow, I will try to update more in future about my work.

Anyhows, the video below is a local film that won the 2nd place award from Singapore Film Festival. Both guys and girls that either been through or never been true in the army will realise that's so very true. Those who don't understand chinese can read the subtitles. I think that the director or writer makes the film even more better by replacing girls to fit into guys shoes.

Last week, during my leave, I went to Sentosa to catch the last view of the musical fountains. Sadly they already had their last shows on the 26th of March. Never again will I see the fountain show. In replacement of the old musical fountains, Sentosa introduced 'Songs of the Sea'. I believe many of you know that, but I do hope I can find the time to go down and see that show.
I have attached 2 videos and 1 silde photos of my visit in Sentosa.

New Monorail ride

Fires from the Musical Fountain

POP lor...

Hey all, guess what? I am now officially a Private! Woohooo! I POP (Pass Out Parade) on 13th March at 3.30pm. I am so freaking happy because after 3 months of being a recuit, lowest life form has been a history to me.

Right now I am on leave from 14th till 25th, my posting will be known on the 23rd. Hopefully I will get to post to unit that have better life. And unfortunately, I got arrowed for guard duty on the 21st (Wednesday) as a reserve party. Which means those who were meant to be doing their duty happens to fall sick or taken MC, I have to stand-in for that guy. Sheesh. What to do? Got arrowed means LL have to do it.

For those of you wishes to see my POP photos, I uploaded some photos up. And also 2 video clips of the parade. Including the most 'Famous' 9 Div Infantry Roar Dance.

I happen to catch the movie '300' yesterday night. It was AWESOME! A fantastic film with a good historical background not forgetting excellent digital effects! It's a true story dated 480 B.C that Leonidas, a Spartan king defended his land against a million Persian evaders with only 300 spartans warriors. Not forgetting with the help of Athenians help which history mentioned was only 6700 Athenians help. But movie didn't show much to the exact similarities as what history had said but I guess the movie was made to show how little Leonidas have for his defence line. In the end, Leonidas's man fought bravely with great courage and skills, but due to their disadvantage, the enermies were too many and Leonidas fall into the enermy's arrows and died. I think the story was really a very inspiring one, that one thing I learned from this movie was that no matter how hard or how strong your difficulites may seems like, you have to fight or defeat it with all your might till you breathe your last....

As stated, here are the photos and videos of my POP...

Photos:

Videos:

Going Back again....

Hello again, I don't really know why everytime when I get to book out, I always waited for the last minute to blog before I book in. I mean that I got so much time since thursday night till now but everytime I have to wait for the last minute to blog.

Which means tomorrow morning my company gets to go to Singapore Discovery Center. Seriously I don't know why we have to go there, could be tour or activity, but it was indeed a blessing because at least I got to book out on thursday night (A Levels on the next day) and return back on Monday (Singapore Discovery Center). =)

Indeed it was a blessing and I really appreciate it alot. Thank God! And to imagine that I have left 8 more days before I POP (Passing Out Parade) which adds more excitment to me.

My weekends were great, as I get to mingle around with YLM. Hmm, I didn't get to attend any meetings since I enlisted, and finally I got the chance to attend one of the meetings which was also another blessing from God. I really do feel that I am truely blessed and loved by God in his ways of making my Life so blessed. And I would like to say, "Thank you my Lord for taking me under your wings".

The rest of my "off days" I did spend it wisely, either with family or my girlfriend. But there's a disadvantage, whenever I get more "Off Days" from army and stayed at home, the more I feel like not going back into Army. I am serious, this kind of feeling is kind of sad to me, to leave my bed behind, to leave my comfort zone.

But right now, before I POP, I would like to ask you, my friends, to pray for me, pray that I can have strength and endurance for my 24KM Route march this coming Friday. I really really feel like it's a mental torture now, but will get to face the physical torture on that day itself. So therefore, please, pray for me...

Till then, till I book out on Saturday (10th March) if I got to book out, I will definately come back and blog about my 24km march. See you guys again real soon. =)

P.S - I have attached some nice videos of "Borat" one of my favourite TV shows that I am currently addicted to. He is from Kazakhstan with a weird accent when he speak english, please enjoy his Sexual and Pervert and Nonsense way of being a Journalist. I added his website to my link too. Infact I had been out since 21st (Wednesday) because of there's a Virus Infection with my left eye. So therefore the doctor at Tekong ask me to go home and rest my eyes. So I return home at noon.

The next day (Thursday) I was supposed to book-in at 0800 hrs, but early in the morning when I wake up, I discover my eye turned even more serious. So, I decided to see a doctor and see how things go from there. I called back to my camp, and the sergent told me to get an MC and return on Friday.

I went to SengKang Polyclinic at first, upon inspecting my eye, the doctor there said it's very serious and he didn't have the proper equipment to scan my eyes, so he refer me to Singapore General Hospital (SGH). Upon reach SGH A&E, I waited for 3 hours before I get to see the doctor. Meeting the doctor was worst, he took a torchlight and shine around my eyes, and shake his head, and refer me to Singapore National Eye Center (SNEC). Which is a few blocks away, I feel like a total fool at the point because I spend the whole day at the polyclinic and the hospital, and I keep getting refered here and there.

So leaving no choice, I went to SNEC, and waited another hour. The doctor took those weird equipment and scanned my eye, and told me it's a virus infection (Same as what Tekong's doctor had said). And she warned me that this virus can spread fast and deadly. And it will take 3days to 3 weeks to heal. And there's no known medicine available for this virus. Only rest can heal it, so therefore she gave me 4 days MC and here I am going back to tekong in about an hour's time.

Before I go, I would like to say that I left about 2 weeks (15 days) before I POP (Passing Out Parade). And I must say that I am glad and happy to leave that island, but quite sad to leave my memories behind. There are many things that are going to before my POP, which is Hand Grenade throwing which falls on tommorrow or tuesday, 24 KM route march which falls on next week. And not forgetting OC's Night, Games Day and Recuit's Night - all the fun party going on for the next 2 weeks. I been looking forward for this days.

So therefore, I shall see you guys soon and thanks for accompanying me to Mass this week. Thanks! Keep Your Lent a Prayerful one!

Gong Xi Fa Cai

Dear Friends & Relatives...Happy Lunar New Year to you! I was out from Army on Friday night. And I have to book in again on Tuesday night. So therefore, due to many events for the pass 3 days, I finally manage to update my blog again.

It's quite pleasing to see that there are actually people still reading my blog even though there are cobwebs hanging around. Haha, so therefore I shall update the past happenings.

Last monday was my SITuation Test. It's basically a test to determine whether you are suitable to be a Commander (Officer or Sergent). And I find that this test is quite stupid because I don't ever thought of becoming a commander but yet still have to take this stupid test. Pretty waste of time. So, throughout the 3 days, I gave the examiner (a reservist officer) an impression that I don't want to be a Commander. Before the test officially begin, we had to route march 12KM to the campsite which I totally feel like collasping, the shoulder weight of my field bag was killing me, and somemore I sprained my ankle and had a LARGE blister on my foot. Somehow I manage to pull through the route march.

On the 1st day, the examiner noticed me and said, "Erm, you seems to me like you are a couldn't be bothered person. You don't want to be a commander?"
I simply shook my head and with a smile and said, "Nope"
Then from the day on, I didn't get any IC roles (thank goodness!)

From Day 2 morning and Day 3 morning, we had 4Km & 2 KM fast march. Ironically, I think that it's not call fast march at all. It's call Fast Jogging, because the one that lead my platoon is my PC and the way he fast march, was so freaking fast! And we had to run to prevent the gap distance between us and the PC. And after the fast march, we were so freaking tired already and had to start the day's situation test, just imagine how shag we were.

The 3days passes like that, the next thing I know was book out day. And I had been praying to God for strength, courage and endurance. And yet again, he did many wonders during these few days. I really feel so blessed and grateful everyday. I just really feel so loved in a sort of secret way, no one ever can describe this special bond that the Lord has given me. So my dear brothers and sisters in Christ. Continue to Pray for me and keep me in your wonderful little prayers. Till then again, Happy Chinese New Year to you all. Gong Xi Fa Cai!!! Everyone will Huat Ah!!!!

P.s. Will be out again on this coming Saturday (24th) See ya again!

CNY again

Hi! I just got back from Live Range + 6 Days & 5 Nights Field Camp. Live Range really freaking tiring, mainly it's because 160++ people shooting at the same day.

All I did for most of the time was sitting down or lying down or smoking or reading Archie's Comic books. It was really a whole day thing, it started off at 9am till 11.30pm. When we hit the sack, it was already 12.45am.

Field camp started off with a bang, because we walked 8KM with full battle order and rifle. Somebody once told me the total weight was 20Kg or more, but being the new batch of Guninea Pigs testers of the new SBO (Skeleton Battle Order), i guess the weight wasn't at 20Kg, it weighted more like 30Kg. It's because the new SBO shaped like a VEST, unlike the old SBO which shaped like a Bra. And being a Vest meaning that it can carry more stuff (Junk) than the old SBO. Not forgetting that the New SBO includes a WATER BAG with drinking pipe which can contains 3 Litres of water. And adding on to a 1 Litre water bottle, this sums up more than 4 to 5 KG already. And the new Field bag is spacious so therefore, it becomes the thing, more weight too.

When I reach our campsite (Oil Palm Plantation), my body was swaying left and right, too tired and shag. After which we recieved orders to start builting our tents, and dig our drainage. I used my remaining energy to dig, trust me, after walking with so much weight, I dig the stupid drainage by sitting down. We didn't get to complete the stupid drainage that day, all I know was we took 3 days to complete the drainage.

The rest of the days were quite okay. Basically I prayed to God for good weather, and we did have good weather. Even though during the day it was freaking hot, and the nights were freaking cold. But at least it didn't rain at all. Thank God! Or else I will be sleeping in Mud.

During the 5th day, we shifted campsite, we moved to Sanyongkong Campsite, a high grassland place with tall lalangs and cat-tails grass that is so high that even i cannot see much while standing inside the grass. Upon reaching there we had to dig our stupid trench. Its basically digging a hole which u can just lie inside. I took 6 hours to dig that hole, halfway telling myself that it's like digging my own grave. After digging, the Officer came over and inspect, seeing that everything was okay, he said "Ok, you can cover the hole." *Smack Head* I was like WTF???? I dig 6 hours and you come over and look and say I can cover back the hole, then what's the point of digging!??

During the 3rd, 4th and the 5th nights, we get to sleep under the stars. Which mean that sleeping only on ground sheets without a roof covering, which also means that if it rains....LOL, HG (Hong Gan) liao. God was with me throughout these days, and he really bless all my days for me. =)

The last day was BIC, it was basically crawling on your tummy or on your back for 100 metres with bullets flying over your head. Once again, God was with me, and the ground was sandy and not rocky. So I manage to get through that phrase, with only a pair of skin torn elbows.

I must really say that the days that I'd been through was so fast at times, and yet seemed quite slow on certain times. And during these periods, I came to aware more of God's creations, goodness and wonders. See people around me, things around me. Makes me want to talk to him, be closer to him in little things. He gave me strength and endurance. He make a way for me. And frankly speaking, if God wasn't with me during these days, then I guess I could have given up long time ago.

So therefore, I must thank all of you who had prayed for me, for my well being. I really can see how much you guys had treasured me and loved me. And really, I feel so God-loved. Thank you all of you for your prayers. =)

Till then, I will be booking in again in the evening. For tomorrow I got SIT test which mean I going out field again for another 3days. I will be back hopefully on the 16th Feb (Friday). So till then, please continue to pray for me. Thanks! =)

Sick? Or Slack?

Hey all, nice to take some time off, and sit down and write my blog. It's been quite awhile and there are cobwebs hanging around.

So here's some update for today, I am on MC, which means I don't get to book in yesterday night, and my MC last me till tml. So therefore, I can get to stay at home for 3 days.

Secondly, I got confined for the on-going activites in camp which is going to last 2 weeks. So therefore, you guys will not see me till the 9th or 10th of feb.

Thirdly, I feel kinda sad here mainly it's because even though I can be out on the 9th or 10th, but I will still be in camp on Valentine's Day!!! I can't get out to celebrate with my dear girl. Isn't life sometimes abit screw up?

Sighs, maybe. Frankly speaking, I think that ever since I entered into Army, I have changed. I have changed my sleeping habits, my mindset, the way I speak to people etc. I don't know why, but I have morphed into someone, unwillingly want to volunteer for things and unwillingly to share for things.

I guess that I have become more inner person. Instead of training more to become fitter, I prefer to sit down, and read a book, at least to gain some knowledge. Maybe that's me, maybe that's how my character is, I just don't like to run or to jog, call me lazy but I still prefer to do it my style. After all, it's just 2 years......

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://moongaze.blogspot.com/2007/01/sick-or-slack.html' title='Sick? Till today, then I realised that I going to book in later tonight at 8.45pm. And I spend the WHOLE of yesterday in BED because, I got a high fever, feeling nausea and got diahorrea. Isn't it sad to spend a day in the new year sick?

Too bad for me, but I guess I didn't get to enjoy myself this new year round. Feel kinda sad, because the year passed by so quickly. And I feel that time really is an issue that I must fight against.

Hopefully I can book out again this coming Saturday, because I overheard my OC talking to my PC that we might get confinement this weekend due to a visit to Singapore Discovery Center. I was like "WTF" So, I sincerely hope that I can book out this weekend.

Many of you have been wondering how life's been going on for me in the army, I decided to write down my checklist for you to see how much I learned from these 2 weeks there:

In Tekong:
1.) Food is ok, edible but need more effort to lessen the amount of MSG.
2.) No freedom, even going to see the doctor have to march to the hospital. -_-
3.) Smoking is a previlage. 3 sticks a day. -_-
4.) Taking a shower is cold like hell. Because, it's the rainy season, and with the windows wide open, the wind chill can chill our blood with ghoustly howls when jumped into the shower.
5.) The M16 Rifle is your wife, always take it along with you, even to the toilet. -_-
6.) Despite the NO SMOKING sign was all around my company line, there are still some superiors smoking and giving lecture to us about no smoking. -_-
7.) My Company has the most report sick cases but the least out of course cases in the whole BMTC.
8.) There is a doctor in my company who is a degree holder. Now no need to march to hospital, just go upstairs to find him.
9.) Area cleaning & Standby Area checkup are all crap. Because no matter how much we clean, our sergeants and officers will always find some place that have dirt/dust. And had to be punish again...........
10.) We had no problem with the PTIs (Physical Training Instructor), accept for only one PTI, I seriously think that he had some childhood problem or something like that, because the way I see him asking everyone to do the WARMING up excerise, he nearly took everyone's breath away. That day just for warmup, I think he make everyone do 70~80 push up.
11.) My OC is a nice guy, but he walks very funny. Ask me about it. =)
12.) My PC is approachable, but sometimes gets over serious about some matters.
13.) My CSM is a regular, who help me extend my swearing vocab, but overall he is a nice guy
14.) My PS is a regular, but he is one damm funny joker, just don't do make him mad.
15.) My Section Commander is a felmale, just do everything nice nice, and she will give welfare.

I am glad that everyone in the army especially those around me, are nice people. But I must say my company happens to be more welfare than the others. And I simply love it. I hope I can update more, so therefore, wait till I come back again then I will blog more. Till then, see you all =)

Army: The Worst Nitemare

Hey all, a Merry Christmas to you. It maybe 8 days before I get out the island. Hopefully, I might get out during Christmas Eve.

Before I go in, I would like to take this time to thank all of you for your support, prayers, hanging out with me, talking to me. Yeah, ever since that day when I recieved my letter, I knew this feeling will hit me. But who cares, I already thought of the idea that I should go into the army with the mindset to prepare myself to be totured or abused. But I know that My Lord, God will be with me throughout this 2 years of service. So keep me in your prayers.

And I deeply apologise for giving up on the mini gathering that happened on thursday. Due to it's hard to plan out a time chart without leaving out anyone, cause all of you are equally important to me, so I decided to scrap the plan.

Oh Happy Day

Been hanging out everyday since Saturday. Went out with the group to Holland V after meeting, checked into one of the cafes there, and we did some chilling out while playing UNO. Did upload a Random Video Shot of ourselves in the Cafe which I totally forgotten what name was it. Here it is:

On Monday, I had another gathering with Kenneth & Deborah (Same Cat Class Friends for 10 Years & Buddies for 15years) for the afternoon. Kenneth offered to cook lunch for Me & Debbie's family over at Debbie's place. It was like the very first time that I tried Kenneth's cooking, and my gosh, he cooked a very BIG Feast for all of us. We had Roast Chicken with Herbs, Beef Spaghetti and Boiled-Fried Purple Potatoes. It was like the most wonderful and delicious meal that a Friend could give! After Lunch, Debbie went to bath (Cause we are going out after that), Kenneth went over and played the piano, and after a heavy lunch, listening to Classical could maybe help my digestion. So I took a video down while he played.

We left Deb's place and went over to City Hall to grab some coffee, so Kenneth suggested MoonRiver, and we rushed over there due to the bad weather. The cafe was quite empty and we lazed at the sofa drinking our ice coffee and talked about the past. After Coffee, we walked over to my God Father's place and went out for dinner. Ben Long joined us shortly after we reach Godpa's law firm. And the 5 of us, from the same Cat Class batch, had dinner at Suntec's Thai Express. And chat about over the years stuff. Haha, those were indeed the days. Thanks guys (YLM, Debbie, Ken, Ben, Godpa) for the wonderful and happy times that I had before I go into the Army.=)

Here are the photos we took on that day...

NASA telescope sees black hole gulping remote star

NASA telescope sees black hole gulping remote star

I just came upon this articule in yahoo news. Where NASA actually witness the famous "Black Hole" in space eating up one of the nearby star. The black hole generates a massive amount of gravity that sucks in or draws in any nearby objects. Even a star's own gravity can't win the black hole's. And based on the website, NASA witness the star being drawn in and crushed flat and sucked in by the black hole. Attached are the picture of an Artist's impression of the event.

"First, the intact sun-like star (left) ventures too close to the black hole, and its own self-gravity is overwhelmed by the black hole's gravity. The star then stretches apart (middle yellow) and eventually breaks into stellar crumbs, some of which swirl into the black hole (at right)." My cousin, Fr. Alex Chua has got back home from studying at Aussie. That was like one year ago. And we are all glad that he is back at last.

So the celebration went on with deliciously cooked home-made laksa, plus BBQ. The food is simply delicious and heartwarming. The elders left the bbq to the youngsters to handle the food, and the BBQ-chefs were namely: My Bro, Arthur,Moarie, Cyndi, Augustine, Antonette and myself.

My Bro The Fanning "Machine"

BBQ Wings, Otahs, Satays, weird tasting chicken fillet (created by Augustine & Moarie), mushmallow, hotdogs were the items that we had. I even realised that when you try to over-cook or slightly burnt the otah, you can get a crispy version of otah. Crispy OTAH! LoL.

We had our laughs and fun, seems like its been quite awhile since we had a family gathering. And I am indeed please and glad that we were all there to meet and had family bonding. Can't wait for Christmas to come, till then, I shall wait for another heartwarming Christmas Party.

Oh Wells

Heh, just got back home from outing with my GF. Went over to Changi Village's Broadwalk. Well, I had always wanted to go there to have a good look. Arrived there after dinner, and it was like, 9pm. Pretty nice to see the layout was exotic and the view was terrific, and when I saw the map of the whole path, I got really sian because it seemed like a LONG walk afterall. So me and my GF just walk to the Chalets area and then turn back. Mainly is because the path was quite deserted and it was pretty dark too. I thought that it isn't safe to venture out too far. So we just took a nice seat facing the sea.
So we took a few drinks and had a chit chat session till late.

In the afternoon, I went scouting for upcoming movies at apple.com . And managed to come across some movies that I would like to recommend. =)

*Apple QuickTime required to view the trailers* http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html

Evan Almighty
Release date : June 22nd, 2007

My thoughts: Sequence to the famous movie Bruce Almighty. But this time round, it wasn't the main character being God, but God appearing to the main character, requesting him to build an ARK. Noah's Ark. And people thought he was crazy.... LOL.

Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/evanalmighty/

The Simpsons Movie
Release date : July 27th, 2007

My thoughts: Haha, I don't know! They didn't release the storyline. But I view the trailer, seems pretty nice!

Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/thesimpsonsmovie/

Charlotte's Web
Release date: Christmas 2006

My thoughts: I simply love the book, one of the best children's tales ever. About a little pig name Wilbur who been saved by a farmer's daughter from being slaugthered. And he grew up in a barnyard, and made a very special and unqiue friend. A spider named Charlotte. Wilbur's life changed after meeting her, and in the end, the spider played a major part of her role as Wilbur's best friend. She died in the end. Sad ending. A very touching and fun movie to watch!

Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/charlottesweb/

Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj
Release date: December 1st, 2006

My thoughts: I didn't catch the 1st movie, but seemed very funny though. It's about an Indian guy who went to England's prestigious Camben University to study. And he's a real hard-on swinger. Haha, many funny stuff unfolds when he's in school. Sounds more like an Indian version of Austin Powers in schooling life.

Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/mgm/vanwilder2theriseoftaj/trailer/

Ratatouille (Pronouced as rat.a.too.ee)
Release date: June 29, 2007

My thoughts: Another well drawn movie by Pixar. Perfect for those Cartoon lovers. The story unfolds about a Rat named Remy, who had dreams of being a French Chef. But he has family difficulties to reach his dreams. His dreams came true when he realise that he was staying beneath a restaurant in Paris, where his idol, a famous french Chef was working. Remy's passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down.

Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/ratatouille/

Mr. Woodcock
Release date: January 19th, 2007

My thoughts: Seann William Scott (Guy from Dude where's my car?) is a self-help author.
