Heh, just got back home from outing with my GF. Went over to Changi Village's Broadwalk. Well, I had always wanted to go there to have a good look. Arrived there after dinner, and it was like, 9pm. Pretty nice to see the layout was exotic and the view was terrific, and when I saw the map of the whole path, I got really sian because it seemed like a LONG walk afterall. So me and my GF just walk to the Chalets area and then turn back. Mainly is because the path was quite deserted and it was pretty dark too. I thought that it isn't safe to venture out too far. So we just took a nice seat facing the sea.
So we took a few drinks and had a chit chat session till late.

In the afternoon, I went scouting for upcoming movies at apple.com . And managed to come across some movies that I would like to recommend. =)

*Apple QuickTime required to view the trailers* http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html

Evan Almighty
Release date : June 22nd, 2007

My thoughts: Sequence to the famous movie Bruce Almighty. But this time round, it wasn't the main character being God, but God appearing to the main character, requesting him to build an ARK. Noah's Ark. And people thought he was crazy.... LOL.

Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/evanalmighty/

The Simpsons Movie
Release date : July 27th, 2007

My thoughts: Haha, I don't know! They didn't release the storyline. But I view the trailer, seems pretty nice!

Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/thesimpsonsmovie/

Charlotte's Web
Release date: Christmas 2006

My thoughts: I simply love the book, one of the best children's tales ever. About a little pig name Wilbur who been saved by a farmer's daughter from being slaugthered. And he grew up in a barnyard, and made a very special and unqiue friend. A spider named Charlotte. Wilbur's life changed after meeting her, and in the end, the spider played a major part of her role as Wilbur's best friend. She died in the end. Sad ending. A very touching and fun movie to watch!

Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/charlottesweb/

Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj
Release date: December 1st, 2006

My thoughts: I didn't catch the 1st movie, but seemed very funny though. It's about an Indian guy who went to England's prestigious Camben University to study. And he's a real hard-on swinger. Haha, many funny stuff unfolds when he's in school. Sounds more like an Indian version of Austin Powers in schooling life.

Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/mgm/vanwilder2theriseoftaj/trailer/

Ratatouille (Pronouced as rat.a.too.ee)
Release date: June 29, 2007

My thoughts: Another well drawn movie by Pixar. Perfect for those Cartoon lovers. The story unfolds about a Rat named Remy, who had dreams of being a French Chef. But he has family difficulties to reach his dreams. His dreams came true when he realise that he was staying beneath a restaurant in Paris, where his idol, a famous french Chef was working. Remy's passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down.

Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/ratatouille/

Mr. Woodcock
Release date: January 19th, 2007

My thoughts: Seann William Scott (Guy from Dude where's my car?) is a self-help author. And when he went home to see his mama, he met his junior school's coach from hell, to be in love with his mama. A hilarious crazy showdown between his former coach, and himself. Will his new dad win to stay in the family? Or will he kick his former coach from hell out?

Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/newline/mrwoodcock/

Hope you guys like what I recommend =) Enjoy!

Many of you might be shocked, but I guess out of boredom, I had come out with a poem. Please don't laugh at me, because this is my very first try, to actually pen one down. Maybe it's boring, or grammatically incorrect, but please forgive me broken and simplified english. This poems exactly explains how I feels right now. Comments are all welcomed.

My Thoughts

My feelings alters
They'd never shows
Sometimes empty
Sometimes joy

Thoughts, words and actions
Were all weighted down on somethings
Which I were afraid of
And uncertain of

How I wished time could be delayed
So many things I left out during the years
Yet little time I had now
So I prayed it would all be accomplished

To my wonderful friends
There were good and bad times
Which I laughed and cried with you
I thank you, for being there

To my dearest fair lady
Three years are what we had
But I sincerely thank you
And softly whisper, I love you

So from now on
Army is calling me
But I know all of you will support me
It has always been

Enjoy life as I can
That what I'd said
Hope time slow down a little
There's alot to anticipate

@12:43 AM

Well, just got back from home after accompanying my girlfriend out for dinner. I guess that time really passes so quickly that when I actually sits down and think, wow, it really flies so fast. Guess what? I have only left 21 days before going army, and I assumed many of you out there could have already guessed my feelings. LOL. But who cares? I going to enjoy life as good as I could before I go in.

Tomorrow will be the feast day dinner, actually, I had been to quite a number of them before, but I could guess that almost all feast day dinners are almost the same. Everyone goes to mass, then proceeds to their respective tables for dinner. And then the Priest will go up the stage and gives a opening speech, and then a prayer before the dinner. Haha, then after that everyone will wack the 1st dish so badly that the plates will go empty within 10 seconds, mainly because the priest talks too long and everyone gets hungry.

Well, year by year feast days are almost the same. But I guess the most remarkable dinenr that I had was the feast day dinner at Saint Anthony's church. Haha, because there were free gifts. It was a pendant with the picture of St.Anthony holding baby Jesus. It was gold plated, but I wasn't sure whether it was really gold. But anyhows, I really liked it because it was so beautiful and nice. I guess that was really memorable. Hope CTK will develop the "Free Gift" habit of giving freebies during Feast day dinners.

Well, I guess things and events passed by so quickly this week. On tuesday, YLM did a informal gathering at the Prata House. We did manage to enjoy our pratas and drinks too. We talked, chit chatted and joked during our conversation, and it was indeed a special moment that I could call "Getting to understand more from one another session".

On Wednesday morning, as I had to agree to go out with Cheryl to collect her digilife camcorder. I had to agree to help her, and to be an escort in order to protect her $$$$ she was carrying. Thanks to me, I manage to find a way to Tampinese st 32, imagine what will happen if I follow Cheryl's way. Haha, after meeting up with the dealer, we managed to drop by Tampines, and explore, for me it was like 2 months ago since I stepped there, but for Cheryl it was 2 years!

After all the crazy walking and looking around, I guess we were too tired, Cheryl didn't sleep the whole night before(Too Excitied Liao). For me, I slept for about 3hours. We were starting to enter into the zombie kinda state, even to the extend that we had to talk even more in the bus ride home to stay awake.

Well, Cheryl, hope you like your new toys!=)

@1:57 AM

Omg, things happen so weirdly today. Haha, good signs and bad signs all happen at once, which turns me into a confused state of wondering what to feel.

Firstly, after YLM's meeting, we went down to Harbourfront, mainly it's because Edward suggested going down to the tree-top trail or something like that. I become excited about the idea because it will be pretty cool to walk into those ulu-ulu spots in the dark. But then we end up getting lost and don't really know where to alight from the bus. So pretty much standard, we end up in vivocity.

Which I knew that Viviocity would be crowded for a weekend, so I suggested going elsewhere to have dinner, which we had our dinner at Habourfront center. Then Jac and Esper suggested we go take Cable Car ride, a loop around. Stopping at Mount Faber.

So when we reach there, we were greeted with the awesome view of the peak. Haha can call me a swa-koo, but i never been to Mt. Faber before. It was amazing! There was even an even where there was snow (small foam) snowing from the sky at the peak! When we walk down to explore the rest of the peak, I noticed a small little pouch lying on the bench. When I took it, and open it, to my surprise...it was a Nokia N70!

Someone did misplace his/her handphone, so in-order to check for ownership, we did scan through the galley photo so to confirm whether it belongs to who. It turns out to be a malay guy. So Edward suggested that we return it to the owner, and so we waited for the owner to call.

And we managed to climb back into the cable car, and head to Sentosa since it was a loop system, but we managed to drop off at Sentosa cause we don't really want to waste the tickets. So we set foot on the island, and to our suprise, we can exit out into sentosa from cable car station! (We didn't pay the $2 Entrance Fee, only the ride $10.90) Haha, talk about gatecrashing into Sentosa!

So with carefree spirits, we explored here and there, but didn't wander to far away. Then, the lost phone rang, and I agree to meet up with the owner in HabourFront MRT station. After all the exploration, we managed to hitch back into the cable car and off we went back to Harbourfront.

Returning the handphone was difficult, but after returning the phone, I went home to think about these questions:

-If I lost my phone, how would I feel?
-If somebody return my phone back to me, how would I feel?
-If somebody picked up, and never return back to me, how would I feel?

I guess, that returning the phone was an option of being really good would mean. I guess that returning the phone back was indeed an excellent way of being really good. Like my grandma used to tell me a Teochew saying, "Being Good To Others, Is Being Good To Yourself" I guess what goes around, comes around. =)

Photos Courtsey of Jac Jac. Thanks =)

Hmmm, I don't understand this, but I have a problem with my health this few days. I just can't sleep till daylight appears. Weird isn't it? For example, last night I tried to sleep at 5am. But in the end, after tossing and turning (in bed), I realised the early birds chipping sounds, and the sun starts to rise. Then after this beautiful events, I managed to fall asleep. -___-

Weird isn't it? But I guess maybe it's God trying to tell me to appreciate the beautiful events in life before going into Army! I do hope this stupid illness may cease or I going to be a Dracula.

Another issue is that when I got back home, I was watching one of the chinese News. They were talking about the Sony Playstation3 that had been released in USA & Hong Kong. The crazy fans of PS3 started to form the queue since Tuesday night!

Extracts from Yahoo News:

"PlayStation 3 consoles featured Internet browsers, wireless controllers with motion-sensing capabilities, and Blu-ray DVD readers that made game play akin to controlling characters in animated films."

"We didn't expect the reaction would be that great," James Hong, senior marketing manager for Sony Computer Entertainment in Hong Kong said. "There were 250 people queuing yesterday but we only had 200 available so we had to turn away quite a few people."

"Playstation 3 are also available Friday for sale in Taiwan and North America, and the Hong Kong fans can enjoy the lowest price here thanks to absence of sales tax. "

Haha, I guess many people will starts to queue for items or something for free. When I say queues, I meant LONG LONG QUEUES, not those you see in food court or kopitiam. But those freaking long queues for Freebies, buying HDBs, Super Duper Megasales, and lastly not forgeting Auditions.

Look at Singapore's NDP. LoL Before they introduce the SAM machine system, they had people Q-ing for them. Aunties, Uncles, Teenagers, grandpa & mas forming a super long line to get the tickets. Auditions like Singapore Idols & Chinese Superstar audition has people Q-ing up even in the RAIN. LoL.

Queues and queues, I bet that these event will stay as a culture or social behaviour in Singapore forever. Till the new technology will be invented that is, example: assigning a Robot to queue in your place.

Till then, we never know when queuing up will ends...

& Joke Of The Day

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings. After a few seconds of arguing over which one should go and answer the doorbell, the wife gives up, quickly wraps herself up in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop that towel you have on." After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob. After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves. Confused but excited about her good fortune, the woman wraps herself back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she returns to the bathroom, her husband asks from the shower, "Who was that?" "It was Bob the next-door neighbor," she replies. "Great," the husband says, "Did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?" Moral of the story: If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your stakeholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure
